The fundamental purpose of the Network is to help the Salvation Army to build on the many successes already achieved through Scouting and Guiding internationally and to develop the many friendships already made across the various Territories.*
Irrespective of borders, the Network recognizes the need to maximize, with help, those countries which, at present, do not belong to the World Scout Movement or the World Association of Girl Guide and Girl Scouts. The Network has created a badge for European Salvation Army Scouts and Guides and written a Mission Statement to help unite S.A. Scout and Guide groups from all over Europe.
It is important that representatives from the various European countries which have Salvation Army Scouting and Guiding expressions as part of their Territorial Youth and Children’s programme meet together to strengthen, and where possible, enlarge the contact and unity which exists amongst its Scouting and Guiding fraternity.
The Network provides an invaluable tool for maintaining this contact and creating a greater unity amongst the various Territories*, thereby instilling a more inspirational desire for success in its purpose.
